Looking for a Big Bike Friendly Dirt Ride We Can Do 3up

002
Dave and Gulliver (photo by Karla)

003
So far this road looks like it fits the bill

005
Ran across this little shack in the middle of a free range area

006
The ol' latrine

007
Even has indoor pluming "of sorts"

008
I went asking the locals for directions

009
The road turned pretty rocky at times. This was a nasty wash crossing

010
There was NO WAY AROUND.

011
I decided it was time to do a recon of the least damaging route

012
Walking across, no problem!

013
Telling Gulliver the path we will be taking

014
I am just letting the beast know I will go easy on her.

015
Got hung up an a big rock, but not too bad.

016
After getting unstuck, I was home free... or so I thought.

017
More fun stuff around every corner

018
OK. I am going to go there, then there, then there, and definately NOT THERE!

019
Coming down

020
Gulliver on board for this one. Karla decided to be the photographer on this stretch

023
Another rock wash crossing. No problem with it other than once I got the other side and got Karla back on board my battery died. My only option was to turn around and go back down to the rock wash, compression starting on the decent then turn around and go back for Karla.

030
Shortly after after the dead battery we found some smoother roads so I could increase the RPMs and get the battery charged back up

31
3up on the V-Strom on dirt. What a GREAT BIKE!

32-Mirror
Gulliver plots to take over the controls and go straight to chasing squirels :-p
